Anastrozole (Arimidex®) is the aromatase inhibitor of choice.
This steroid is used when substantial amounts of flavoring steroids are also used, or when one is prone to gynecomastia and uses moderate amounts of such steroids.
Arimidext does not have the side effects of aminoglutethimide (Cytadren®) and can achieve a very high estrogen blockade, superior to Cytadren®.
It is possible to greatly reduce estrogen with Arimidext (up to 80%), and for this reason blood tests, or less preferably, salivary tests should be taken after the first week of use to determine if the dosage is correct.
As an aromatase inhibitor, Arimidext’s mechanism of action, which blocks the conversion of aromatizable steroids into estrogen, contrasts with the mechanism of action of antiestrogens such as clomiphene (Clomid®) or tamoxifen (Nolvadex®), both of which block estrogen receptors in some tissues and activate estrogen receptors in others.
During a steroid cycle, if you use Arimidext it is usually not necessary to use Clomid, but there may still be benefits to doing so.

Optimal dose: The dose of Arimidext ranges from .5 mg to 1 mg daily, depending on the steroid cycle, propensity to gynecomastia, etc.
Side effects: Side effects with Arimidext are generally quite tolerable and will depend in part on the dose used for each particular user. Such effects may include headache, joint pains, feeling weak, increased blood pressure, swelling of the ankles or feet, mood swings and depression.
Although there are more powerful antiestrogens, such as letrozole, which annihilate estrogens 100%, they are only with very particular cases and should not be used lightly, since reducing estrogen completely carries its own health risks. Arimidext should always be our first choice antiestrogen.

Winstrol – Stanozolol is a very commonly used anabolic steroid for cutting cycles.
